Doing this puzzle put me in the same mindset I had with the Margay one- and that makes sense, because it’s the same brand, same style- from a striking photo of wildlife. When I saw this one at the store, I thought: how many puzzles with an eagle on them do you need? (I currently have eight). But those others are all eagles flying high above a landscape, this one is different with the closeup and I thought it would be fun to do all that dark, gold-edged feather pattern. And it was. I expected the background would be difficult because it’s all blurred with one color fading into the next, however the pieces were all quite distinct in their shades, so with some careful sorting it wasn’t too frustrating. Meditative, actually. No false fits. A little bit of finger pain. I’m not leery of puzzles that are based on a photo anymore- I liked doing this one!
One piece is put in last long after the others, because I thought I had lost it, but then found under the furniture. Final size 20 x 13″.
