This one was hard. Took me four days to complete. The last sitting went much faster, as I had some help! My kid’s friend came over, and just so happens this girl seems to get even more joy out of doing puzzles than I do! She eagerly asked if could help put some pieces in, had a very good eye for spotting where things went, and literally hopped around the room with glee for every piece correctly placed. When I put the last one in, she said “wait, wait!” for a dramatic pause to watch, and then cheered the finish. It was fun. Especially for a rather boring (ribbon cut, all one shape), cheaply made puzzle with frustratingly complicated image- the sky was actually one of the easier sections, with even color and just slight variations in knob, hole sizes or lean of the ‘arms’ to go by. All the jumble of tree texture, rocks, pine branches, much more difficult to make out. In the early stages, I was struck by how blue the snow on the mountains in shadow was, but once more areas of the picture were in place (and in the photos here) it doesn’t look nearly so vivid there. The mountains look so real and rocky, my eye is always drawn to that peak on the right. Only two left now!
Finished size 22 x 15″.
