This little puzzle bothered me, because there is so much busy bright stuff going on with that patterned background, sometimes it was hard to tell what I was looking at. I guess the triangle shapes are a rug? because the cat and toys seem to be sitting level on it. It kind of made my eyes swim.
Also, I had a long-standing confusion about the title. There’s a misprint on the picture guide in my box. It says “Sheena and the Wooden Birds.” No birds in the picture. The cat looks a bit anxious, mades me think there was a moving or noise-making toy she wasn’t sure if to pounce or run away. I looked up this painting online, and yes it had been cropped to make the puzzle, but there weren’t any birds out-of-frame like I originally thought. It’s just the title has the word toys instead. Which makes more sense!
