I did this one as a puzzle on the go. At least, for the first half. Have been spending several hours per day in the public library, and I wanted to puzzle but don’t have any more small ones left to do. I tried to assemble this one in sections on cardstock panels, then made a layered ‘sandwich’ of them between cardboard sheets, held shut with bulldog clips, to transport home and back each day. This worked well enough, except I couldn’t bring myself to divide the picture into equal panels, which would break up the dog’s faces (across the middle of the husky’s nose for example) as it was far easier (visual-thinking-wise) to work on each dog individually, then put together later. So this was my attempt.
First I did the words, and set them aside.
Initial work on the library table.
The rest as follows in the slideshow. I brought home stacked sections twice, and it looks like a big jump in progress between the first and second day because I did some work in between on the panels on my lap at bedtime (but didn’t take a photo that night). Then slid onto a normal puzzle board and finished it at home over the weekend. All the dark background was more tedious, but there were faint lines dividing the dogs’ images, and subtle gradients in the black, that made it doable. Surprised that I had some false fits, but none that held me up for long.
It was a fun puzzle just because the dogs’ expressions are hilarious- especially this one
but I did find it kind of icky doing all the open slobbery mouths at one point.
Missing one piece in the end.
